All Saints Central Schools would like to commend and recognize student Dylan Paul, an 11 year old 5th grader at All Saints Central Schools, for his quick thinking action that saved a teacher’s life on Monday, May 6, 2019.

After observing his teacher Karen Renko choking and unable to catch her breath, Dylan jumped into action and performed the Heimlich maneuver.  When asked how he knew to perform this specialized procedure, Dylan replied, “I saw it on YouTube.”

Dylan’s grateful teacher is convinced the 11 year old saved her life with his swift response.  Renko says Dylan is a “real life angel” and was “blessed to have had him in the room at the time.”

Principal Lisa Rhodus remarked that the school is so proud of Dylan who acted quickly in a very scary situation.   She goes on to say how proud she is of her “amazing students who love their fantastic teachers and our fantastic teachers who love our kids.”

All Saints Central Schools is grateful to Dylan and extends sincere appreciation to him for his good deed.
